“You kill one person it’s a tragedy, you kill ten thousand people it a statistic.”

Saw this on one of the feeds I read. John James is a friend of mine in New Jersey. Very compelling post... thanks John.

We are right in the middle of our missions convention. Once again my heart has been stirred for the lost.

Pastor Anthony preached at our last "Lift" service and talked about what is our passion when it comes to lost people and then quoted a very unlikely source, Joseph Stalin.

“You kill one person it’s a tragedy, you kill ten thousand people it a statistic.”

... I think that is the way it is when we think about missions. We see the picture of one person or we hear the story of one person, and our hearts go out to them. Most of the year the billions of people that die without Christ are just a statistic to us. We go on with our life like all is well and great. We don't just miss the point of this life we miss life itself. The masses are not stats, they are people, they are souls loved by God. I hope I never forget that - PJ

Billions of people don't die every year. The population of the Earth is not quite 7 billion.
